What a year we have had since we last joined together. Everything looks a little different today. It's been a year of upheaval. Phrases like "new normal", "fluid situation" and "uncertain future" have dropped into our daily conversations. However, what hasn't changed is the need to continue funding the efforts of scientists and research investigators searching for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Being labeled as one of the vulnerable groups to COVID-19 has raised the stakes.

This year we need your help more than ever. Our annual gala will certainly have a different appearance this year, but our goal remains the same and your support is fundamental to our success.

JDRF Southern States is thrilled to announce the launch of our Reaching for the Cure Campaign. This exciting philanthropic effort reflects the tradition and legacy of the wonderful JDRF Gala, which is typically held in person. Throughout the next several months, you will see many “star-studded” stories of inspiration, hope, perseverance and support for JDRF’s mission leading up to April 24, 2021 when our efforts will culminate in a streaming celebration.

Thank you to all of you, old and new, who will contribute to our success this year. Even though our night will look and feel different, we are here and we will raise the roof (in our individual homes) as we raise money for a cure. We stand together in this fight.
